Tabata training is a form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which consists of 8 rounds of high-intensity exercises in 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off intervals. This workout is not for beginners – Tabata pushes the limit on the percentage of your maximum heart rate. Compared to HIIT, Tabata has shorter rest and work periods. Although the work period is shorter, it follows the idea from HIIT that you should go all out within that time. With a shorter rest period, you would have less time to recover. It is intense, so try this out and see if you like it!
