When you do exercise, your muscles work in different ways: concentric, isometric, and eccentric. Beginners in strength training often have difficulty with eccentric movements – usually because they lack the strength to do so properly. All three movements are important if you want to train your muscles, and if you do this every exercise, you will be able to maintain the strength and gains.
