Did you know: not all microbiomes are bad. There are about 500-1000 species of bacteria in your body – and they are there for a reason! Most of these microbes exist inside your intestines and on your skin.

Some of the bacteria are responsible for digesting sugars and fiber, while others help with your immune system and infection response. However, the gut microbiome can also affect the central nervous system, which controls brain function.
